We are 3.5 hours away from alpha launch, and things are on schedule according to all teams (so far).
The dev team demo’d a basic framework (with no look/feel applied). They showed a user registering, logging in, seeing a poll screen etc. Big applause for that.
The marketing team is crushing laptops by accident, writing social and press releases, etc.
The UI team delivered more directions for the site look and feel as well as the logo, shown here. Click to enlarge any image, then let us know what you think, por favor.
If we had vosnap working, we’d just ask that way. But alas, you must still comment. So 2006.

VoSnap is meant to be making decision a *snap*, simple. If you are trying to convey simplicity why are the layouts looking very busy? IMHO the second one is best but more attention needs to be payed to details like typography and grids - at the moment things feel messy.

I like the clean look of #2 the best. The little graphic explains the idea in a..er…snap.
However, the copy in that design lacks connection with the “Vote” part of *Vo*Snap. I’d suggest moving towards an easy-to-grasp terminology of “votes” and “polls”.
Also: As a first time user, I’d be wary of what is actually going to be sent to my friends (big giant ads? will they have to download some spyware crap first? email spam?) I’d recommend having simple preview page that shows exactly what will be sent (and maybe explains how you will receive your answers). My $.02.

for general visual feel, #4 is my pick — the process of filling the form out and getting the vote out there feel more central. it’s too far off to the right on #2. that said, i’m not sure how to tell vosnap who i’m asking to vote in #4.
logos #1 and #2 have better contract to my eyes and stand out better. regardless, the direction on the logo is nice — well done.
i don’t get the heavy use of ‘posse’. that seems to artificially limit your target audience by age or type of use. it would feel strange to use that for something other than personal use — at least for some.
i’m also confused on whether this runs via email, email to phone, sms, im, mobile web, or something else? all of the above? while the vote instantly is the unique part, it seems at least regular email (and a somewhat slower vote) should be supported and it isn’t clear from the mockups how that happens yet.
good work — i’m amazed at how fast this thing is moving.

I’m such a geek - mostly I have trouble liking or disliking the layouts because I’m more focused on the implied functionality!
Layout 1 is pretty and would want to see what else goes into it in the form of content and functionality
Layout 2 is particularly cool because of the sample poll - makes it obvious what’s going on
Layout 3 looks busy to me though I do really like seeing the time limit.
Seeing the sample layout makes me realize one thing that’s hopefully coming up there - it’d sure be nice to have easily accessible common-usage templates available. Maybe they’d even be called something cute & thematic like… well, I’m not a marketing person, so I’m not going to try to guess but hopefully you get it.
Anyway - think about we’re all on the way to meet up at a club, pub or bar - quick, where does everyone want to head, should I make a right or left? I’m doing this from my phone and I want it easy.
Heck, for that matter, some future version might even be smart - or configurable - enough to know whether I’m likely to be at work, out for the evening, or out and about on my day off.
For the logo colors, I happen to like #1 best though the rest are certaily more “Snappy”. #3 seems like a good compromise; pink is also good though.

I think vosnap should be dubbed as social voting tool. So the user as a problem any they need a quick decision via their social network. So they can easily post a poll on MySpace or facebook. So they site needs to let the user do just that quickly and easily. So I vote for #2 because it lets the user get right to solving their problem via the forms right there when they go to vosnap. They should then be easily to push their poll to their friends via one button and it going out as an e-mail blast or updating a widget.
