What is this?

The 7:30pm meeting was delayed until 8pm. Here’s the update.

We’ve been TechCrunched. Stats: Up to 113+ viewers on uStream. #4 and #5 on Truemors. 43 references to vosnap on google. 24+ hours without an on the job accident. We’ve collected about 40 emails in the last hour for launch notification. 1500 unique hits to the vosnap site in the last few hours.

Facebook is the first remote app for VoSnap

Casey (one of the 12 or so founders in the marketing group) says:

“We have decided to develop the Facebook application as the first VoSnap extension. The Facebook app will allow users to generate VoSnaps directly from Facebook, reaching their friends on mobile phones and email.”

Technical config

Steve, our de facto sysadmin figured you might want to know the basic technology config. If you understand and appreciate the meaning of the words “unique selling proposition,” then there is no need to read more of this post.

* OS: Linux Fedora 7 (all prod, qa, dev environments are *exactly* the same)
* Java (1.5), Tomcat 5.x, Apache w/ mod_jk
* Subversion - revision control
* Hosted on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) - Limited Beta using Amazon’s S3 data service as a backup platform.
* Tools used to communication: MediaWiki, IRC, twitter, pbwiki

230pm meeting notes - request for input

We are 3.5 hours away from alpha launch, and things are on schedule according to all teams (so far).

The dev team demo’d a basic framework (with no look/feel applied). They showed a user registering, logging in, seeing a poll screen etc. Big applause for that.

The marketing team is crushing laptops by accident, writing social and press releases, etc.

The UI team delivered more directions for the site look and feel as well as the logo, shown here. Click to enlarge any image, then let us know what you think, por favor.

If we had vosnap working, we’d just ask that way. But alas, you must still comment. So 2006.
